The M2R Fence Gallery is a curated installation, debuting trackside in downtown Marietta in May each year as part of their M2R Trailfest. In 2020, the Marietta Arts Council and Cobb Arts Vibe collaborated with local organizations and city representatives to bring the gallery across the county. You may have noticed the gallery in Powder Springs during October and November of 2020 surrounding the newly constructed Thurman Springs Park (pictured above). The city is thrilled to participate again in 2021 and hopes to see more Powder Springs artwork in the mix.
The exhibit is an opportunity for all artists as it showcases both fine art and student artwork. Each selected image will be printed on its own white PVC panel and attached to a fence at each stop. The 2021 exhibit will display for almost a full year amongst participating locations:
- Marietta
- Acworth
- Austell
- Powder Springs
- Kennesaw
- Smyrna
- Town Center CID
The call for art is open until midnight on April 11, 2021. View the call for art and visit m2rfence.com to apply.
